Prescribe topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) preparations with caution. Avoid contact with the eyes, inflamed or broken skin, and mucous membranes. Do not use with occlusive dressings. Be aware that application of large amounts can result in systemic effects, including hypersensitivity, asthma, and possible renal disease.
