Jul 18, 2014 · Normally I would have to download each app individually while trying to avoid extra "deals", but with Ninite I just check the box next to each app I want and download all 15 in one go. Everything I want is in one place, and I don't need to worry about opening my browser to find half the screen filled with toolbars.

Ninite is incredibly useful. Instead of going to different websites to download essential apps and the like, you can do it all from Ninite. Feb 15, 2022 · i want to download it but i dont trust 7-zip.org anybody can tell me what is the real site? im trying to find it but i find reddit posts from 7 years and people say 7-zip.org i want to know if the site was changed and they use a different one also someone said that they download 7-zip from 7-zip.org and got a virus the comment is 3 mounths old.

Feb 27, 2016 · Sourceforge started losing traffic though and their pulled their adware thingy. So, in the end you can't really trust it but, currently, the chances of Ninite betraying you is the same as any of the proprietary software you can download from Ninite.

Feb 5, 2016 · I only use ninite for things I would have installed to C: anyway. The whole point of the tool is that it's a run and forget type deal. It is going to go to the default location. I partition the hell out of my drives, but I usually install stuff to C: that I would need to reinstall anyway when doing a fresh windows install.

(like for a new computer) Solved thanks to u/Dilettante: Ninite I have used it several times in the last 5 years but can't remember the name. It's extremely popular and recommended everywhere on reddit.

I have created a very simple and customizable script that I find pretty useful for downloading/updating 3rd party apps using the free version of Ninite. I figured I would share it with you all as someone might find it useful and maybe some PowerShell vets can give some recommendations on how it can be improved!

Apr 19, 2016 · Ninite automates installation of publicly available software packages that most likely contain .msi files. If you are paranoid, download the .msi files yourself (you should be anyways) and then you have version change control.
